Name of Project:      ACI Project

                                Attitude plus Courage-Confident-Care-plus                                                 Inspired

Introduction:    Since English become one of the critical subject and to most of the students they will have type of problems which they will bring it to the next level in the study and also for the school, therefore by doing this project we believe and this is as a good started that what is the needs to find the problem, find the solution and overcome the problem by helping each other especially between teachers, parents and the students themselves.          

Suggestion Date:       22nd of February - 24th of May 2014

Aim:                 keep sustainability with 1st project - gift of Reading in 2013 and to help 120 pupils in Year 2 who did not achieved 1 - 12 constructs during their 2nd Linus Screening in 2013 especially for PHONEMIC AWARENESS.

Rationale:          i)      Linus Zero during Screening 2 2014.

                        ii)     3 Years project.                               

                       

Objectives:               By the end of this project students can and are able to use the language with confidence, motivate them to be more confident, attract their interest to be in the class and ready with their learning and teaching activities.

Targets:           120 of Year 2 Students which been identified that they are the pupils that still cannot be able to achieve the entire construct.

                        28 of pupils - K1 - K2.

                        94 of pupils - K3 - K12

Locations: Year 2 classes

Time: Every Saturday – 10 – 11.30am.

Suggestion Date:               22nd of February 2014 – 22^nd of May, 2014.

Aim:                         To ensure that Year 2 students who still did not able to achieve the skills in Listening Speaking, Reading, Writing in English language EXCEPT to those who are the students with special needs.

Rationale:                  i)      Linus ZERO for Year 2 students during   

Their   Linus Screening 2 2014.

                                ii)     Collaboration with student's parents and   

Guardians.

Objective:                 By the end of the Project, Year 2 Linus Students can be able to

a)           recognize the words and pronounce the words correctly.

b)          Listen and speak – use the language by practice.

c)           Read the words and simple sentence correctly.

d)          Write the words correctly from text.

                                       

Target:                     120 Year 2 Students

Locations:                 Year 2 classrooms

Time:                        10.00-11.30am.         

Opening Ceremony/ General meeting with parents on 22nd of February, 2014.

Take place every Saturday starting 7.00 o'clock until 11.30 am in the morning

Strengths:

Most of the parents give their supports and co-operation towards their children achievement.

For the hardworking parents and students by the end of the phase one project there is lots of improvement on them especially in class.  They have gained self of confidence and showed lots of interest in class.

The teachers also came up with lots of ideas and sharing knowledge to one another with discussion or peer observation.

Points to remember and need improvements;

Attendance of the students and teachers.

Attitude of the students, teachers and parents.

Too many students in the class

Need extra guidance from the teacher.

Lack of teachers.

Parents need to be reminded from time to time

Parents still not ready to talk to the teacher in person.

Pictures during meeting with parents and guardians.

Outcome:

        We have to find something for everyone to hold on to which is can be as a tracking for teachers or parents to find out how to help the students in order to prepare themselves with strong basic and foundation and keep it as ongoing process for the students and between teachers, parents and the students need communication from time to time since their early years in school.  To know them is to love them, it will be going to have next phase by overcome the problems and do improvise until last screening in 2015.
